Adventure (2 to 4 minutes)

If you are all about action, then this category is for you.  However, you need to make sure your action tells a story as well. Submitters of this category should be able to take the moviegoer on an adventure with their film.

Comedy (2 to 4 minutes)

Tell us a story that will make us laugh.  Comedies range from silent films in the Charlie Chaplin days to more modern comedies like pretty much any Adam Sandler movie. If you like telling good (appropriate) jokes and can turn it into a story, this category is for you.

Science Fiction (Sci-Fi) (2 to 4 minutes)

Science fiction allows the moviegoer to believe in things not currently possible.  While they usually take place in the future, some happen a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.  Wow us with your imagination and limitless creativity!

Suspense/Thriller (2 to 4 minutes)

Do you like puzzles or riddles?  A good film in this category will set the stage for suspense as the audience wonders what happened and “who dun it?”  While we like a good scare, please keep in mind that your audience is a range of students as young as kindergarten.

Animation (1 to 3 minutes)

Do you love to imagine your own characters, worlds, & stories?  Unleash your imagination & creativity by app smashing on your mobile device, and tell a story through animation or stop-motion!

Judging & Voting:

Public voting counted towards 30% of the score for the film. iPadpalooza Youth Film Festival judges score counts 70% of the score for the film.
